This 10-hour continuing education course provides yoga teachers with the foundational knowledge and practical tools to integrate trauma-informed principles into their yoga teaching. Trauma-sensitive yoga offers a safe and empowering space for students to explore movement, breath, and mindfulness in a way that supports nervous system regulation and resilience. Through a combination of lecture, practice, and discussion, participants will learn how to modify traditional yoga practices to create a more inclusive and accessible experience for all students. Learning Objectives: By the end of this course, participants will: ✅ Understand the fundamentals of trauma and its effects on the nervous system. ✅ Learn how yoga can support trauma healing through breath, movement, and mindfulness. ✅ Identify key principles of trauma-informed teaching, including choice-based cueing, invitational language, and a strengths-based approach. ✅ Explore modifications and adaptations to create safer and more inclusive yoga classes. ✅ Develop an understanding of boundaries, self-care, and ethical considerations when working with trauma survivors.
